Frau Sheela Birnstiel suchte nach einer Möglichkeit den Alltag mit ihren Eltern in liebevoller Atmosphäre zu verbringen. Aus dieser Situation entstand 1990 die erste Wohngemeinschaft. Da sich die Zahl der Bewohner erhöhte, zog sie 1997 mit ihren Bewohnern nach Maisprach und gründete das Wohnheim „Matrusaden“. Kurze Zeit später, 1998, entstand zusätzlich die Wohngemeinschaft „Bapusaden“, welche sich jetzt in Waldenburg befindet. Derzeit betreuen und pflegen wir in „Matrusaden“ 17 und in „Bapusaden“ 12 Bewohner. Zusätzlich haben wir die Möglichkeit zwei Feriengäste zur Entlastung der Angehörigen aufzunehmen. Besucher sind uns jederzeit willkommen.

Diese Fotos zeigen Sheelas Eltern. Sie repräsentieren alle Eltern auf dieser Welt. Zu Ehren und aus Liebe zu ihnen wurden die zwei Wohnheime “Matrusaden” und “Bapusaden” von Sheela gegründet.

I was blessed with lovely parents who took care of me during my life. As my parents got older, I had my opportunity to care for them. They were my inspiration in creating this Wohngemeinschaft, or community with people in need of care. I lovingly call my two homes “Matrusaden” which represents a home of mother and a home for mother and “Bapusaden”, which represents a home of father and a home for father. I have modelled these homes around the type of warmth and loving environment my parents provided me and created family style homes with a familiar atmosphere for the people we care for.

Matrusaden, established in 1990 and Bapusaden, established in 1998 are licensed homes. We offer care for adults over the age of 18, who are physically and mentally handicapped. “Matrusaden” is located in the village of Maisprach, Switzerland and it houses 17 people. “Bapusaden” is located in the village of Waldenburg, Switzerland and it houses between 12 beds. We welcome visitors any time and we are proud to show you our homes.
